Jared began taking lessons with Anthony Matarese Jr. / AIM Shooting School in 2005 (over 100+ hours of instruction), is a proud member of the AIM Shooting Team, and began working with Andrea Seefeldt Knight / ASK Sporting Clays in 2019 to advance his skills to an elite national level.

Located on the outskirts of historic Gettysburg, PA, Jared’s training facility is unlike any sporting clays course in the region. It is a strictly private instructional layout—never open to the public or recreational shooting—designated solely to you or your group during your lesson.

Rates below are the total hourly rate for your entire group—not per shooter. Bring up to four shooters to share a private session on the course. Targets and ammunition are not included in the hourly rate ($48 per 100 targets at the Gettysburg facility).

Jared was first introduced to sporting clays in 1995—not as a shooter, but working a part-time job as a trapper at a local sporting clays club at age 12. Every dollar he earned went right back into shooting sporting clays and skeet. In 1996, he began competing in registered skeet and sporting clays and has since shot over 188,000 NSCA registered targets across the country.
After 10 years of shooting and hitting a plateau in tournament performance, Jared scheduled his first lesson with Anthony Matarese Jr. in the summer of 2005. Three years later, Jared earned his first berth on the NSCA Open All-American Team (2009). Over the past 20 years, Jared has continued to train under Anthony with more than 100+ hours of instruction and is a proud member of the AIM Shooting Team. In 2019, to push his competitive ceiling even further, he began training with Andrea Seefeldt Knight, who has been a tremendous mentor in shooting, business, and life.
Starting in 2008, Jared began traveling well beyond the Northeast to test himself at major national tournaments—often making those long trips alone when local shooting buddies only wanted to shoot day-trip events. Those early solo trips forged the tournament toughness and self-reliance he now passes on to his students, encouraging every shooter to step outside their comfort zone and pursue their goals.
Outside of his shooting life, Jared has been married to his wife Beth for over 20 years, and they have two children, Luke and Eden. Alongside coaching, he has worked in the logistics and transportation industry for over a decade across both private industry and the federal government.
Before becoming a Master Class sporting clays competitor and coach, Andrea Seefeldt Knight was a legendary Professional Jockey—winning 605 races in over 6,500 mounts. She was the 3rd woman ever to ride in the Kentucky Derby (1991), the 2nd in the Preakness Stakes (1994), the first woman to ride in and win the Pennsylvania Derby (1991), the 1991 Maryland Jockey of the Year, and an inductee in the Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame.
Turning that competitive fire to sporting clays, Andrea trained under Anthony Matarese and became an AIM Shooting Team member, perennial NSCA All-American, 6-time Maryland State Lady Champion, and 2019 ICTSF World English Championship Lady Silver Medalist in Ireland. She is an NSCA Certified Instructor with 3,000+ hours coaching novice-to-advanced men, women, and wing shooters, and serves as Resident Instructor at First Mine Run and Loch Raven Skeet and Trap Center in Baltimore County, MD.
